Julia Stix was born in Vienna in 1984. After completing her training in the photography department at the Graphische Hochschule, she worked for the daily newspaper “Die Presse” for several years as a photographer for the magazine “Schaufenster”. Julia Stix has been working successfully as a freelance photographer internationally since 2011. The core of her work focuses on food photography with numerous publications in magazines, cookbooks, advertising, etc. as well as portraits of renowned artists and personalities such as Ai Weiwei, Placido Domingo, Jonathan Meese, Jürgen Teller, Gottfried Helnwein or the Oscar-winning filmmaker Stefan Ruzowitzky for leading Austrian and international magazines.
